Obverse description Standing at the center, under the crown symbol of sovereignty, is the set of symbols of the coat of arms of San Marino summarized by sculptor Biancini in the three plumed towers surrounded by branches of oak and laurel leaves, and underlined by the motto Libertas. At the top of the medal is the legend REPUBLIC OF SAN MARINO, and below the other legend VISIT OF SANDRO PERTINI.

Reverse description In the center a scene of a meeting of the Captains Regent in their costume ceremony with the President of the Italian Republic Sandro Pertini.
