Obverse description Two seated women symbolizing Industry and Agriculture frame two heads printed in roses in medallions, on either side of the lettered value. In the background, Mercury engraves a stele. Article 139 of the penal code is printed in pink on a blue background at the bottom. The `BANQUE DE FRANCE` mansion is covered by a red band, and the `BANQUE DE MADAGASCAR` mansion is added below the former mansion.
