Aversbeschreibung At the centre, the depiction of the Holy Door located at St. Peter`s Basilica. At the top, in an arch, the inscription `IUBILAEUM`, while at the bottom, also in an arch to close the Latin inscription, a series of alternating empty and full fish, symbol of Christianity. On the left, `2025`, the year the coin was minted and `R`, identifying the Mint of Rome; on the right, `RI`, acronym of the Italian Republic, and `C.M.`, initials of the designer Claudia Momoni. Arch-shaped, the twelve stars of the European Union.

Reversbeschreibung A geographical map of Western Europe spans the outer ring and inner core on the right side of the coin. The inscription 2 EURO is superimposed over the map of Europe, with the numeral “2” located in an open field representing the eastern Atlantic Ocean. 12 stars are located on the right side of the outer ring, with six stars atop the map of Europe and six stars below it; six vertical stripes cut across the inner core of the coin, visually connecting the upper and lower star segments.
