Obverse description In the center we see the Dome of the Rock (Qubbat As Sakhra), an Islamic shrine, located on the Temple Mount in the Old City of Jerusalem. Above it, in Arabic lettering, appear the name of Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority, the number and date of the Royal Decree pursuant to which it was issued and the name of King Abdullah. On the right side we see the picture of King Abdullah Bin Abdulaziz. Below the picture of the king we see the value of the banknote printed in Arabic. At the bottom of the banknote we see the signatures of the the Minister of Finance and the Governor of Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority. The foil strip on the left bears the value of the banknote and the emblem of the Kingdom.
