Description de l’avers On the front you can see a young woman, her robe half-exposed, so that the breast is not covered. In front of her sits an elderly man with bound hands, to whom she gives her breast. The story known as “Caritas Romana” is about a daughter who breastfeeds the imprisoned father with her milk so that he does not starve.
