The obverse design features five servicemen, in vibrant colour application juxtaposed with the silver backdrop, to pay homage to the five Services which generations of national servicemen have served proudly and fondly in. The servicemen are donning the uniforms that represent the five Services, viz. the Singapore Army, the Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN), the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) and the Singapore Police Force (SPF). Collectively, they form the core of Singapore’s defence that safeguards the peace and security of the nation. |
