20 עשרים שקלים חדשים בנק ישראל מ ש מ ש מגן-דוד זה, אשר נשאנו עמנו באלפי שנות הגלות, הפיזור והייסורים; מגן-דוד זה, אשר היה לנו לנס בכל נדודינו; מגן-דוד זה, אשר נהפך בידי עושקינו לאות קלון; דגל תכלת-לבן זה, אשר נישא בידינו בכל חבלי ההתאחזות בארצנו, ארץ-ישראל; אשר ליווה את חלוצינו בצאתם לחרוש לראשונה אדמת שממה; אשר הונף ברמה בידי לוחמינו לחרות בשדה קרב במלחמת-העולם האחרונה; אשר ניפרשׂ מעל חומות גטו ורשה במרד הנואש; דגל זה, אליו ניזעקו כל כוחות העם היהודי שנאבקו על גאולתו בארץ אבות – מבטא היום הזה את קוממיותנו השלמה בהיותו מתנופף בגאון כדגל החמישים ותשעה במעגל הגדול הזה, המסמל את אחדותה ואת מיטב שאיפותיה של האנושית כולה. 1949 ,התש״ט 1998 התשנ״ח (1965) משה שרת התרנ״ה (1894) - התשכ״ה
